Audit Log
The audit log tracks all changes made to your zones, providing a complete history of who changed what and when.
Accessing the Audit Log
- Log into the admin panel
- Click the Audit Log tab
You'll see a chronological list of all changes.
What's Tracked
The audit log records:
| Action | Details Logged | |--------|----------------| | Zone Created | Zone name, driver, day, who created it | | Zone Updated | Which field changed, old value, new value | | Zone Deleted | Zone name, who deleted it | | Boundary Changed | Zone name, who modified it |
Audit Log Entry Details
Each entry shows:
- Timestamp: When the change occurred
- User: Email of who made the change
- Action: CREATE, UPDATE, or DELETE
- Zone: Name of the affected zone
- Field: Which property changed (for updates)
- Old Value: Previous value (for updates)
- New Value: New value (for updates)
Filtering the Log
You can filter audit entries by:
By Date Range
- Select start and end dates
- See changes within that period
By User
- Filter by specific team member
- Useful for reviewing individual activity
By Action Type
- CREATE: New zones only
- UPDATE: Changes only
- DELETE: Deletions only
By Zone
- Search for a specific zone name
- See all changes to that zone
Common Use Cases
Investigating Issues
If a zone seems wrong:
- Find the zone in the audit log
- Review recent changes
- Identify when/who made the change
- Correct if necessary
Training Verification
After training new staff:
- Filter by their email
- Review their changes
- Verify accuracy
Monthly Review
Regular review process:
- Filter to last 30 days
- Review all changes
- Verify accuracy
- Note any patterns
Audit Log Retention
- Audit logs are retained indefinitely
- No automatic deletion
- Available for as long as your account exists
Exporting Audit Data
To export audit log data:
- Apply any desired filters
- Click Export button
- Choose format (CSV)
- Download the file
Exports include all visible entries with full details.
Privacy and Access
- All users can view the audit log
- Only admins and owners can make changes that get logged
- Viewer role users can see the log but not create entries
- Email addresses of users are visible in the log
Best Practices
Regular Review
- Check the audit log weekly
- Look for unexpected changes
- Verify major modifications
Before Changes
- Check recent history for context
- Understand why zones are configured as they are

- Use audit log for compliance documentation
- Export periodically for backup
- Reference when answering questions about changes
Limitations
The audit log does not track:
- Driver additions/deletions (coming soon)
- User management changes
- Settings changes
- Login/logout events
Troubleshooting
Can't find a change
- Expand your date range
- Check filters aren't hiding it
- The change may not have been saved
Missing entries
- Changes must be saved to be logged
- Discarded changes don't appear
- Check if user had permission to make changes
Timestamps seem wrong
- Times are shown in your local timezone
- Verify your device's time settings
