Introduction to the admin panel

Admin Panel Overview

The admin panel is where you manage your RouteRef service zones, drivers, team members, and account settings.

Accessing the Admin Panel

  1. Go to your company's RouteRef URL
  2. Click Admin in the header
  3. Log in with your email and password

Admin Dashboard Layout

The admin panel has several main sections accessible via tabs:

| Tab | Purpose | |-----|---------| | Zones | Create, edit, and delete service zones | | Drivers | Manage your list of drivers | | Team | Add and manage admin users (owners only) | | Audit Log | View history of all changes | | Billing | Manage subscription (owners only) | | Settings | Company settings and preferences |

Zones Tab

The zones tab is split into two areas:

Left Panel - Zone List

  • Lists all your zones
  • Search and filter zones
  • + New Zone button to create zones
  • Click a zone to select it

Right Panel - Map

  • Interactive map showing all zones
  • Click zones to view/edit
  • Draw mode for creating new zones
  • Edit mode for modifying boundaries

Action Bar

At the bottom of the screen:

  • Shows unsaved changes count
  • Discard button to undo changes
  • Save Changes button to commit

Understanding User Roles

Your capabilities depend on your assigned role:

Owner

  • Full access to everything
  • Manage team members and permissions
  • Access billing and subscription
  • Configure company settings
  • All admin capabilities

Admin

  • Create, edit, and delete zones
  • Manage drivers
  • View audit log
  • Export/import data
  • Cannot manage team or billing

Viewer

  • View zones on the map
  • View driver list
  • View audit log (read-only)
  • Cannot make any changes

Common Tasks

Creating a Zone

  1. Click + New Zone
  2. Enter zone details
  3. Draw the boundary on the map
  4. Click Save Changes

  1. Click the zone on the map or list
  2. Modify properties in the editor
  3. Click Save Changes

Adding a Driver

  1. Go to the Drivers tab
  2. Click + Add Driver
  3. Enter driver name
  4. Click Save

Saving Changes

Important: Changes are not saved automatically!

When you make changes, they appear as "unsaved changes" in the action bar. You must click Save Changes to commit them to the database.

If you navigate away or refresh without saving, changes will be lost.

Keyboard Shortcuts
