Managing Your Subscription

This guide covers how to view and manage your RouteRef subscription.

Note: Only account owners can access billing settings.

Accessing Billing

  1. Log into the admin panel as the account owner
  2. Click the Billing tab
  3. Or go directly to routeref.com/your-company/admin/billing

Subscription Overview

The billing page shows:

  • Current Plan: Standard, Pro, or Enterprise
  • Status: Active, Trialing, or Past Due
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly or Annual
  • Next Billing Date: When you'll be charged next
  • Usage: Zones and admin users used vs. limits

Understanding Your Plan

Free Trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial:

  • Full access to all features
  • No payment required during trial
  • Trial ends automatically after 7 days
  • Add payment method anytime to continue

Trial Ending Soon?

You'll see a banner when your trial is ending. To continue:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Complete the Stripe checkout
  4. Your subscription begins automatically

Billing Portal

Click Manage Billing to access the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:

  • Update payment method
  • View and download invoices
  • Change billing email
  • Update billing address
  • Cancel subscription

Subscription Status

| Status | Meaning | |--------|---------| | Active | Subscription is current and paid | | Trialing | In free trial period | | Past Due | Payment failed, requires attention | | Canceled | Subscription ended |

Past Due Status

If your payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Update your payment method in the billing portal
  3. We'll retry the charge automatically
  4. Service continues during grace period (7 days)

Annual vs Monthly Billing

Annual billing saves ~17%:

  • Standard: $490/year (vs $588/year monthly)
  • Pro: $990/year (vs $1,188/year monthly)
  • Enterprise: $2,490/year (vs $2,988/year monthly)

To switch:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. Update your subscription in the portal
