Updating Payment Method

Change your card on file

Updating Payment Method

This guide explains how to update your payment method for your RouteRef subscription.

Note: Only account owners can manage billing settings.

Accessing Payment Settings

  1. Log into the admin panel as the account owner
  2. Click the Billing tab
  3. Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal

Updating Your Card

In the Stripe Customer Portal:

  1. Click Payment methods
  2. Click Add payment method
  3. Enter your new card details
  4. Click Add
  5. Set as default if desired

Removing Old Cards

  1. In Payment methods, find the card to remove
  2. Click the menu (three dots)
  3. Select Delete

Note: You must have at least one valid payment method to maintain your subscription.

Supported Payment Methods

RouteRef accepts:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover

Payment Security

  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe
  • RouteRef never stores your full card number
  • Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Update your payment method within 7 days
  3. We'll automatically retry the charge
  4. Service continues during the grace period
