Welcome to RouteRef! This guide will help you get up and running in just a few minutes.

What is RouteRef?

RouteRef is a service zone management platform that helps businesses visualize and manage their delivery routes, service territories, and driver assignments. Your staff can instantly look up which driver serves any address, and your managers can easily update zones as your business grows.

Try Before You Sign Up

Want to explore RouteRef first? Try our interactive demo - no signup required! You can create zones, add drivers, and experience all features in a sandbox environment. The demo resets daily, so feel free to experiment.

Creating Your Account

Sign Up (New Customers)

  1. Go to routeref.com/signup
  2. Enter Company Info: Company name and headquarters address
  3. Choose a Plan: Standard, Pro, or Enterprise
  4. Create Your Account: Enter your email and password
  5. Start Your Trial: 7-day free trial, no credit card required

After signup, you'll be taken directly to your admin panel where you can start setting up zones.

What You Get

  • Your own RouteRef URL: routeref.com/your-company
  • Admin panel for managing zones, drivers, and team
  • Public map for staff to look up addresses

Getting Started

For Staff (Public Map Users)

  1. Open the Map: Navigate to your company's RouteRef URL (e.g., routeref.com/your-company)
  2. Search for an Address: Type any address in the search bar
  3. Find the Zone: The map will highlight the zone and show which driver serves that area
  4. Check the Legend: Use the legend to filter by day or driver

Note: If your map is set to private, staff will need to log in first.

For Administrators

  1. Log In: Click "Admin" in the header or go to routeref.com/your-company/admin
  2. Enter Credentials: Use the email and password from signup (or provided by your account owner)
  3. Explore the Dashboard: You'll see tabs for Zones, Drivers, Team, Audit Log, Billing, and Settings

First Steps After Signup

  1. Add Drivers: Go to the Drivers tab and add your delivery drivers
  2. Create Zones: Draw your first service zone on the map
  3. Invite Team: Add other admins who need to manage zones
  4. Set Map Access: Choose public (anyone can view) or private (login required)
